How to find a flexible part-time job?
Jame G. Cannon - Kelso
My new startup business requires me to work odd hours. However, during this recession I find that I need to find some part-time work to pay the bills? Any suggestions?
ANSWERS
Joe Leonard - Ideal-Companies
If you get a "job" from someone else you will usually have to be at a fixed location for a fixed number of hours. Instead of a "job" why not look for "work" that needs to be done? The following opportunities allow you to set your own schedule. 1. Commission Sales - choose a product you know about and work the hours you need 2. Service Skills - Can your fix or build anything? Handyman? Plumbing? Computers? Run an ad you local weekly and see. 3. Teaching - Give classes when and where you want. Many community colleges will let you teach your own course without requiring academic credentials. You just need to know your subject matter. 4. Telecommuting - Many legitimate companies need people who can work from home for customer service, data entry, and writing. 5. Consulting - Are you are expert? Who would pay for your knowledge? 6. Products - Can you make anything that you can wholesale to others? Woodworking? Electronics? Crafts?
